The Burning Lamps Internship

The Burning Lamps Internship (BLI) is a HOP-Hb training program for college students, ministry staff, and adults 18+ who yearn to pursue deeper intimacy with Jesus.  This internship is specifically designed as a call to radical immersion and abandonment to the ways of the LORD.  Biblical truths and theological foundations studied out in class time take lasting root when combined with communion with God, contending prayer, and sacrificial lifestyles.  By connecting with God in His presence, BLI interns are launched into wholeheartedness with longevity, while leaning upon the confidence of God's deep pleasure in them.

He (John the Baptist) was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing for a time to rejoice in his light.   John 5:35

The Burning Lamps Internship provides a rigorous, detailed, and practical training platform in how to walk in joyful holiness before the Lord in today's culture.  In light of the hour we live, there is no wiser course than investing a season of one's life as a love offering unto God, delving into the passions of His heart.  The BLI boldly calls interns apart from the legitimate pleasures of the world and places them into the extreme pleasures of knowing God - the place of standing, hearing, and rejoicing at the Bridegroom's voice (John 3:29).  Fully surrendered to the affections of God, interns are given the opportunity to be divinely marked and released as burning and shining lamps before a generation through fasting, prayer, and radical giving.

Students will be challenged to live out authentic, biblical discipleship in the context of day and night worship and intercession at the House of Prayer Hattiesburg.
