1. Do all of my donations directly support the Missions Base?
No matter the amount of your pledge, 100% of the funds go directly to the HOP-Hattiesburg Missions Base. This includes everything from the practical operation of the Prayer Room to helping to support full-time intercessory missionaries and other ministries around the world. Part of our mandate is to generously give to the poor and to those laboring abroad in missions; we highly value and emphasize these things as part of our regular operations budget.
2. How much does it cost to operate the HOP-Hattiesburg Missions Base per month?
It costs approximately $13,000 per month to operate the HOP-Hattiesburg Missions Base. We are praying and asking the Lord for a new building, as we are currently renting a building in this season.
3. Do worship leaders, singers, and musicians get supported with any of my donations?
Yes, all of our staff raise their own financial support, but we love to help with small stipends as these worshippers and intercessors pour themselves out day by day. As we are able, we provide small monthly donations to some full-time staff as needed while they raise support. All HOP Staff are committed to living a fasted lifestyle of simplicity.
4. How do HOP Staff members support themselves financially?
HOP Staff members commit to raise their own financial support through personal communications efforts with Churches, families, and friends. Some part-time staff members are employed by businesses in the area to supplement their monthly needs.
5. Do I have to give monthly or can I give my yearly gift in one lump sum?
You can give your yearly commitment at one time, quarterly, or monthly. For instance, if you are a HOP Partner committing to give $100 per month for one year, you can keep it monthly, give $1,200 in one sum, or $300 each quarter.
6. What is the difference between a HOP Partner and a HOP Cyrus?
HOP-Hb Partners are those called to give at any level unto the prayer movement on a regular monthly basis. Cyrus Partners pledge a minumum of $750.00 per month for one year. Cyrus Partner benefits include a personal intercessory team that prays for their business each week.
7. Can I give online?
Yes, just follow our Paypal donate button on the main Donate page (click here). It is not required to have a Paypal account to donate to HOP-Hattiesburg online.
8. Can I have HOP-Hb automatically withdraw from my bank account or credit card each month?
Yes, for automatic bank account deductions, simply e-mail us through our contact form (click here) after your first donation online. In the contact letter, you may specify the amount and how frequently you desire to give (if not specified, automatic withdrawals are monthly at time and rate of your last donation).
9. Can I choose a date for my donations to be deducted?
Whatever day you sign up to contribute will become the day of the month that your contribution is deducted. For example, if you enter your card details on July 15, your deduction will always be within a few days of the 15th (accommodating for weekends, holidays, etc). If you need our office to manually hold your donation until a specified date, call or e-mail and we can hold the approval until your desired date.
10. How do I change the amount of my monthly gift?
You may e-mail us through our contact form (click here), and your next deduction will reflect this amount.
11. How do I designate my check to the HOP Partner Program?
Please make the check out to “HOP-Hattiesburg” and write “Partner Program" in the memo line.
12. How can I receive a giving statement?
We will automatically generate a yearly statement of contributions at the close of each year for your tax deductions. It will be mailed to you.
13. What if my giving statement is incorrect?
Please contact the Accounting Department immediately if you discover that all of your giving is not accurately reflected on your statement.
