The Burning Lamps Youth Intensive 2009 (BLYI) is a student ministry designed to be a week of immersion for youth ages 13-18 who are hungry to experience deeper intimacy with Jesus.  Each year, teenagers from the Southeast come to Hattiesburg to give part of their summer to encounter God in a focused and life-changing way.

Our Mission:  The heart of this generation is being allured into adopting this world's system of purpose, values, and pleasure.  With practical tools for wholeheartedness, the BLYI boldly challenges youth to not settle for the world’s standards of success but rather to pursue greatness in the sight of God and their calling in His Kingdom.  Each day of the intensive, attendees spend 2-4 hours in prayer in The Prayer Room and 2-4 hours in class time with the Scriptures.  The truths studied out in the sessions take lasting root when combined with the joy of intimacy, prayerful meditation, and contending for God's heart. There will also be recreation times each day.
