The Prayer Room

The Prayer Room is the heart of the HOP-Hattiesburg Mission Base from which we facilitate all our appointed ministries to flow. Scripture teaches that night and day prayer is essential to the fullness of the Great Harvest in the last days (Isa 62:6-7, Lk 18:1-7, Mt 9:38). Through bridal partnership and intimacy, we are praising Jesus with unending adoration and contending for the open demonstration of moral equity into every sphere of life. Our heart's desire is that the Prayer Room would be a place of transformation and encounter, where believers may be encouraged, healed, empowered, and unified by the Holy Spirit.

Accommodating about 150 people, The Prayer Room serves as the perfect atmosphere to engage in prayer, worship, and Biblical study. The Prayer Room is not a traditional church service, as every two hours a new session begins. You may come and go at any time without obligation. Each prayer session functions with live worship teams in one of the following four formats: devotional worship, prophetic worship, worship with the Word, or intercession. All formats are led by teams comprised of singers and musicians who unify their songs with spoken prayers and proclamations (Rev 5:8).

Currently, we operate 90 hours a week. Our vision is to establish night and day prayer and worship for anyone desiring to pray individually or corporately in Hattiesburg. We invite you to come and join us during our daily meetings (see our Schedule).

Prayer Room Formats

Intercession: This prayer format is designed to use the Biblical prayers of the apostles and prophets to cry out in unified intercession for revival in the cities and nations of the earth. Anyone may pray on the "open," second microphone for the Church in any city, unless the meeting is specifically geared towards another topic. Worship With the Word: This prayer format is designed to function as a time for developing deep revelation from specified portions of Scripture through spontaneous prophetic singing and prayerful meditation. Worship with the Word sets may be sometimes referred to as a "singing seminary." (download the worship with the Word prayer guide)

Devotional: This prayer format is designed to create an atmosphere for individuals to commune with God through basking in personal, intimate meditation and Bible study. Devotional worship serve to refresh and sustain our hearts in love before God. (download the devotional prayer guide)

Prophetic Worship: This prayer format is designed to find the immediate flow of the Spirit and corporately bring us into the presence of the Lord.
