The HOP-Hattiesburg Justice Prayer Set exists to raise up a standard through intercession- a house that contends with every house that challenges the supremacy of Christ's leadership over all governmental affairs. The Justice Prayer Set was birthed from TheCALL, JHOP-DC, and Bound4Life MS. These national assemblies and prayer movements have gathered thousands corporately to action in united agreement for the burden of injustice in America.
We recognize that there are many ungodly and rapidly expanding religions that maintain a prayer culture, but the hour has come for the bride of Christ to shift into a corporate offensive through prophetic worship and intercession before the throne of grace. We desire to change the expression of our culture through lifestyles rooted in the Sermon on the Mount, tarrying in prayer until the promises of God are fulfilled in our generation.
"And will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry out to Him day and night?" Luke 18:7
With the giants of abortion, secular humanism, pornography, homosexual marriage, new age philosophy, human trafficking, drug abuse, world poverty, and the spread of radical Islam, we are immersed in the battlefront for the release of righteousness in America. According to Joel 2:12-14, we are contending for the heart of this nation to turn back to God in a massive wave of repentance and brokenness that would bring revival and restoration to our land.
There is a spiritual conflict raging in the heavenly realms over what our government and law enforcement do. Through the blood of Jesus and His righteousness, we desire to see transformation "for kings and all those in authority" (1 Tim 2:1-3). One of our main commitments is to pray for President-elect Obama and the fulfillment of his destiny while in the White House.
We believe that God has clearly spoken that abortion will end in America and a key part of its eradication is going to be through the Supreme Court. Bob Jones prophesied that the Lord will grant America three pro-life justices in the Supreme court. This word has been confirmed several times, including the witness of God establishing Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito. For these reasons, we pray continually for the third seat majority in the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade (the case that legalised abortion in 1973).
